1. It has a VERY PRETTY CHOCOLATE COLOURED river
2. It has the best restaurants
3. It has the best everything
4. The people aren't addled and made retarded by the sun
5. It is not commercial and gross like Sydney
6. It is not boring like Adelaide
7. It is not in Tasmania
8. The people are the best
9. Everyone has nicer clothes
10. It has many gardens
11. It has Luna Park

Why Melbourne is not the best city in Australia:
This is especially for Fatima.
1. The Yarra River is very ugly, and chocolate coloured. The only time you can enjoy looking at it is night time, because you won't be grossed out by what the river looks like.
2. It does not have the best restaurants. I am quite sure I can name many restaurants as good as the ones I have been to in Melbourne - food wise and atmosphere wise. Even Room 19 beat the Melbourne My Restaurant Rules Restaurant.
3. The weather is absolutely atrocious. 4 seasons in a day. You will be confused whether to rug up during the day or pray that it will actually be sunny the entire day without it being windy or rainy.
4. The only good thing about Melbourne is that it has the Australian Open.
5. It may be the home of the AFL, but their teams sucked last season.
6. The traffic is horrible.
7. There is no free public transport in the city.
8. Some Melbournians are really weird. eg my friend's friend who went to Sydney and saw their harbour and went, "OH MY GOD! Your river is BLUE!"
I'm going to stop right there, I think that's enough. :)
